The Hard-Boiled Detective

A novel idea! The Hard-Boiled Detective Statement Series is old school detection fiction. You subscribe to the series which provides three works of short fiction each and every month.

Description from the website:
‘The series features the perilous cases of our P.I. hero as he seeks truth, justice, and sometimes a living. He tackles dishonest dames, manipulative mugs, cagey crooks, and plenty of victims. There’s always plenty of victims. His period is timeless–call it 1929, 1939, 1949. Sure.’

You get 3 stories each month for a year. Each story runs between 3,00-9,000 words for a 30 to 90 minute read. It would be like getting 3 full books a year.
The subscription rate is $29 a year but if you hurry over and subscribe now you can get it for just $13. Just over a dollar a month! Use code fix13 while this special price lasts.

Not sure if this is a good idea? Well they have free samples to taste, you know just like at the grocery store on Saturdays!! Click HERE to take a taste!

  1. It seems like a good idea, but something about it bugs me. Mostly, it's the fact that I don't know who wrote it. I guess it's a group, because the word “we” keeps cropping up, but I'd like to know something about the author/authors before I plunk down that kind of cash.

  2. Kelly, I found this very small at the bottom of the home page…Written by Ben Solomon | Jeremy A. Pollack, publisher-editor. I believe the we he keeps referring to is he and his publisher-editor. I have a received a couple emails from Ben and even his emails are really good reading!
