This guy’s been a resident here for the last couple of weeks. A Black and Yellow Orb Weaver. Very fancy double web, it meets at the top and comes down in two perpendicular sheets like a tent. I’ve tried to get a shot where you can see the web but can’t get a good angle where the backlight doesn’t ruin it.
Always stays right in the center of the zigzag weave. He was chomping on a good sized victim a couple of days ago! It’s quite creepy and no he is not going to the new house with us!
